Professional Experience
Before returning to school for his advanced law degree, Mr. Roller operated the family farm in northwest Iowa from 1979 through 1987. He also owned and operated a farm equipment and retail business. Upon earning his law degree, he was employed as a trust officer by Northwest Bank and Trust in Davenport, Iowa and became head of their trust department. He later joined the law firm of Anderson & Nelson in Rock Island, Illinois. His practice includes the area of estate planning, trust administration, probate, residential and commercial real estate, business planning, and municipal law.
Mr. Roller is a member of several professional associations. They include the state bar associations of both Iowa and Illinois, as well as the Scott County Bar Association, ElderCounsel and WealthCounsel, an association of over 2000 estate planning attorneys nationwide.
Mr. Roller has helped hundreds of clients achieve their estate planning goals, preparing for them such important tools as wills, trusts, and other estate planning strategies. Clients appreciate his ability to communicate the important differences between various estate planning approaches, as well as the time he takes to clearly inform them of their estate planning options. He works closely with other professionals to ensure that his clients’ estate plans are both legally and financially sound.
Education
Mr. Roller graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1975. He again attended the University of Iowa in 1987 and obtained his Juris Doctor Degree, with distinction, in 1989.
Personal Profile
Mr. Roller was born in Davenport, Iowa. He has been active in his community, having served on the school board, local chamber of commerce, and various county commissions. Mr. Roller and his wife Becky have two daughters. In his leisure time, he enjoys flying, boating, and skiing. |
